Greek yogurt is known for its rich, creamy texture and tangy taste. This nutrient-packed dairy product stands out from regular yogurt because its high protein content and essential nutrients. Greek yogurt’s multiple health benefits make it an invaluable addition to your daily diet.

Baked Lemon Salmon with Herbed Greek Yogurt 

Lemon salmon with Greek yogurt sauce

Ingredients 

  • 8 oz salmon 
  • 1 lemon 
  • 1 tsp olive oil 
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 

Sauce 

  • 2½ oz Greek yogurt, plain 
  • 2 tsp lemon juice 
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder 
  • ½ tsp basil, fresh, chopped 
  • ½ tsp thyme, dried 
  • ¼ tsp salt 

Directions 

  1. Mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic powder, chopped basil, thyme and salt. Put in the refrigerator to marinate. You can do this step a day in advance. 
  2. Preheat oven to 375°. 
  3. Slice lemon in half-moons. 
  4. Place salmon on sheet pan. Spread olive oil on top of the fish and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper. 
  5. Top each piece of salmon with a lemon half-moon slice. 
  6. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145°. 
  7. Remove from oven and top with Greek yogurt herbed sauce.
