More than 1,300 Women Participate in Heart and Sole

More than 1,300 women participated in the Lexington Medical Center Heart and Sole Women’s Five Miier on Saturday, April 21 in Columbia. Heart and Sole raises awareness that heart disease is the #1 killer of women and celebrates the power of a healthy lifestyle. This year’s event featured a new start time and new course. Introducing the New Heart and Sole Course

Hey girlfriends! The Lexington Medical Center Heart and Sole Women’s Five Miler is less than two weeks away! This year’s race features a new, flatter, faster course without the Gervais Street hill! It also takes runners through some of the most picturesque, historic spots in downtown Columbia.

Heart & Sole Women’s Five Miler

Nearly 1,300 women participated in the 16th annual Lexington Medical Center Heart & Sole Women’s Five Miler on Saturday, April 22 in Columbia. About 1/4 of them were Lexington Medical Center employees showing their commitment to a healthy lifestyle and raising awareness that heart disease is the #1 killer of women.

Our first runner came across in just over 30 minutes! That’s a six-minute-mile pace. Here’s her interview with Rick Henry.
