Merry Christmas!

From our Lexington Medical Center family to yours, Merry Christmas. On this special day, we once again wanted to share our 2017 hospital Christmas commercial. Since its debut on Thanksgiving, it’s received more than 400,000 views online. We have also received countless kind comments and phone calls from members of our community who were uplifted by the message of hope and comfort it brings.

We’ve received many questions about the cast of the commercial, notably the singers. The singers – in order of appearance – are Brad Hudson, Kay Roebuck and Clayton Stephenson. Each of them are professional singers from varied backgrounds.

But most of the people in the scene are Lexington Medical Center employees. For example, the man who walks near the reception desk in a red vest at the beginning of the commercial is our President & CEO Tod Augsburger. He has made a cameo appearance in nearly every Christmas commercial we’ve produced for the past decade.

We filmed the commercial inside the lobby of Lexington Cardiology, a Lexington Medical Center physician practice located on the hospital campus in West Columbia.

We hope you enjoy the commercial and embrace its message that we rise by lifting others. Merry Christmas. It is our privilege to care for you.

Our 2015 Christmas Commercial

Please join us in welcoming the holiday season by viewing our annual Christmas television commercial. This year’s spot pays tribute to pet therapy and debuts today.

Featuring a pet therapy dog named Bailey who travels through the hospital inviting patients and employees to a holiday celebration, the 60-second commercial inspires feelings of hope, peace and joy. The commercial includes Lexington Medical Center employees, a talented lead singer and a Christmas music concert featuring Alan Jackson’s song, “Let It Be Christmas.” It was filmed on our hospital campus in West Columbia.

Studies have shown that pet therapy can significantly reduce pain, anxiety, depression and fatigue in people with a range of health problems, including those receiving cancer treatment or patients hospitalized with chronic heart failure. Family members, friends and staff feel better, too.
You can watch the Christmas commercial on the hospital’s YouTube channel or during your favorite Christmas TV show this holiday season.

It’s the ninth year Lexington Medical Center has produced its own Christmas commercial. To view all of them, visit our You Tube channel.

Please share the commercial with your family and friends. From our Lexington Medical Center family to your family, Merry Christmas.
