We talked to Dr. Crisp recently about his work.
LMC: Why did you choose to become a family practice physician?
Dr. Crisp: I like that I’m able to take care of patients of all different ages with a variety of different problems. There’s something different behind every door; it keeps you on your toes.
LMC: What’s one of your favorite parts of the job?
Dr. Crisp: I like getting to know each member of a family during patient visits. And that helps me to be a better doctor, too. When you treat a patient, it helps to know more about them, including their family and culture.
LMC: What’s your philosophy on patient care?
Dr. Crisp: I’m passionate about comprehensive care. I want to be a doctor who can treat the whole person without focusing too specifically on one area. I also want to provide compassionate care in a complex medical system.
LMC: What do you like about Lexington Family Practice Northeast?
Dr. Crisp: It’s a well-established practice with a good reputation in the community. The doctors are collegial and support each other.
LMC: Tell us about your family.
Dr. Crisp: I’m married with three children, ages 5, 4 and 21 months. We have a busy house.
