Lexington Medical Center is pleased to welcome oncologist Chelsea Rainwater Stillwell, MD, to the hospital’s network of care. Dr. Stillwell has joined Lexington Oncology, a Lexington Medical Center physician practice affiliated with the Duke Oncology Network. She joins Dr. Steven Madden, Dr. Asheesh Lal, Dr. Vijaya Korrapati and Dr. James Wells at Lexington Oncology.

Dr. Stillwell received her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She also completed an internal medicine residency and hematology oncology fellowship there.

“I enjoy the opportunity to structure each person’s care individually by listening to the existing needs and fostering relationships built on trust,” said Dr. Stillwell. “In addition to providing excellent medical care, I want my patients to know that I am there to offer support each step of the way.”

Dr. Stillwell is a member of professional organizations including the American Medical Association and American College of Physicians. She has also traveled to Central America and Africa on medical mission trips.

Lexington Oncology’s clinicians specialize in treating nearly all forms of cancer. The practice has a newly renovated suite with 24 exam rooms and state-of-the-art equipment. There is an infusion center designed to be comfortable for patients and family members, an on-site pharmacy and an on-site laboratory for same day test results. The practice also offers genetic counseling, a cancer resource room, meditation garden, art therapy program and music therapy. The affiliation with Duke allows patients to have access to clinical trials and the best possible treatment close to home.

Dr. Stillwell is accepting new patients.
