Dan Jones Re-Elected LMC Board Chairman

Dan Jones, LMC Board Chairman

The Lexington Medical Center board of directors has re-elected Dan Jones to a second term as chairman. He will serve a one-year term as board chairman.

Mr. Jones, vice president of Government Relations for Time Warner Cable’s South Carolina division, has been a member of the Lexington Medical Center board of directors since 2008. He previously served as vice chairman and was first elected chairman in 2011.

“The past year has been a tremendous time of growth for Lexington Medical Center with the beginning of our open heart surgery program and our affiliation with Duke Medicine for cardiac care,” he said. “In the year ahead, we look forward to strengthening our heart program and growing our oncology program.”

Mr. Jones has more than 35 years of experience in federal, state and local government relations. He and his wife Pat have three children and three grandchildren. Mr. Jones is a Lexington County native. He grew up in West Columbia and graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School and Charleston Southern University. He is also a board members and past president of the Brookland-Cayce High School Foundation. He and his wife are members of Trinity Baptist Church.

The Lexington Medical Center board of directors has 21 members. The board meets on the 4th Thursday of each month inside the conference room located in Lexington Medical Park 1 on the hospital campus.

“The board is very dedicated to the community,” Jones said.

He looks forward to informing board members about the operations of the hospital and helping them to understand the depth of their responsibilities in helping to bring about quality health services that meet the needs of our community.
