LMC Welcomes New Board Chair and Member

The Lexington Medical Center board of directors has elected Dan Jones as its new chair. And, the board welcomes Richard Westbrook as a new member.

Dan Jones is the Vice President of Government Relations for Time Warner Cable’s South Carolina division and has more than 35 years experience in federal, state and local government relations. He and his wife Pat have three children and two grandchildren. Mr. Jones has been a member of the Lexington Medical Center board of directors since 2008. He will serve a one-year term as chair between now and February, 2012.

“These are challenging but exciting times in health care,” Jones said. “Lexington Medical Center’s affiliation with Duke Medicine to provide comprehensive heart care, the expansion in our Oncology department and the continuous acquisition of physician practice expands our reach in the greater metropolitan area.”

In addition, board members elected Al Harman, III as vice chair and Vince Rhodes as secretary.

Richard Westbrook

The board also welcomes new member Richard Westbrook, vice president at South Carolina Bank and Trust, loan administration. He received his undergraduate degree and MBA from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, he is a graduate of the South Carolina Bankers School. A Lexington County native, he is married with one child.
