Lexington Medical Center is proud of its employees who are making an impact in the community.

Jeff Kerby, a physician assistant at Lexington Family Practice in West Columbia, a physician practice in the Lexington Medical Center network, leads a group called EmmanuWheel that makes wheelchair ramps and home modifications for people who cannot afford them. The group works through donations and free labor. It’s a new ministry.

EmmanuWheel receives referrals from Lexington Medical Center’s Social Services department and other resources. So far, the group has built four ramps this year, including the one you see in the above photo at a home in Pelion.

They look forward to more projects in the future and want to enlist skilled and unskilled workers. For more information, call director Jeff Kerby at 803-730-8042.
